The Process of Creating a Smile Story

Just like laughing gas, we make it painless and fun. 🤣 Plus, all we need is 1 hour of your valuable time to get started!

Step 1

Strategy Session & Patient Recruitment

Together, we’ll decide which stories you want to tell that will help you achieve your growth goals. We’ll narrow down a list of patients to approach and provide you with a script proven to encourage participation.

  1. Interview with doctor
  2. Identify success story opportunities
  3. Identify patients potentially willing to tell their story
  4. Define business objectives we can tie to the case study. For example, if you want to increase Invisalign sales we’ll focus on an Invisalign smile story.
  5. Provide a script (for email and phone) you’ll use ask for patients to participate in the Smile Story program
  6. Set up scheduling form used to set appointments with patients who’ve agreed to participate

Step 2

Research & Interview

Next, we interview your patient and gather photos to feature in their success story. We’ll provide an audio transcript of the 30 minute interview and follow up with you on any questions that could help round out their story.

  1.  Research WHY this is such a great success story
  2. Issues client had, how often these issues come up, what you (the ortho) did that was so special – how it was taken care of
  3. Conduct a 30-minute interview with each patient
  4. Gather relevant photos/videos, photo release sign-off
  5. Transcribe interview
  6. Provide transcript to team
  7. Follow up with your team after interview to fill in any holes
  8. We may ask for feedback before we begin writing

Step 3

Write & Design

Finally, we’ll take everything we’ve learned about your featured case and craft their story into a compelling case study that commands attention. We’ll create both print and digital versions of their story for you to distribute in your office and online!

  1. Assemble notes taken during research and interview to craft into final case study
  2. Design print and digital versions of case study
  3. Includes: photos/videos taken during interview
